Princess Diana. The five friends took to TikTok with a video of themselves sipping tea at their 'royalcore picnic' and eating nibbles as the camera panned around to show each of their gowns and crowns.

Royalcore refers to the aesthetic of West European royalty from the 5th to the 19th centuries. Two were dressed as princes, donning leather trousers and crowns, as one woman sat in a black and gold gown, with a corset top and another wore an off-shoulder burgundy dress. But one woman named Leanne, took the royalty theme quite literally as she turned up wearing a short blond wig, round sunglasses, cycling shorts and a baggy grey jumper. The casually dressed look was inspired by Diana's gym wear from paparazzi snaps of her leaving the Chelsea Harbour Club.In the video, which gained over 1.5million likes, @cafededuy wrote: "When you have a royalcore picnic and everyone followed the Reign vibes and Leanne decided to go as Princess Diana.".TikTok users seemed to find it hilarious that she 'misunderstood the assignment' but believe she nailed it anyway. One user said: "Leanne didn’t understand the assignment but she still got an A+."Another wrote: "But that is the perfect Princess Diana embodiment because she hated being Royal.

She absolutely would have dressed like that to a royal picnic."A third said: "I spit out my water when I saw her as Princess Diana."A fourth added: "Hey, but on the plus side, she committed and really nailed the look."The news comes after a TikTok star who has been labelled the "reincarnation" of Princess Diana has wowed her fans in the statement black dress that became known as the "revenge dress".For the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletter.
