Former Manchester City midfielder Owen Hargreaves thinks Raheem Sterling is close to forcing his way back into Pep Guardiola's plans.
The forward came off the bench for City on Wednesday in the Champions League clash with Club Brugge and scored a typical poacher's goal after slick play from Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan.
Sterling helped add some impetus into City's play following a sluggish first half for the team, netting the third goal in a 4-1 win.
The tap-in was a rare bright moment in what has been a frustrating campaign for the winger so far. Although he fell down the pecking order last season, a strong showing for England at the European Championships was expected to offer him a springboard into the new campaign.
