It’s one of the reasons that green - emerald to be precise - is having a moment. At Royal Ascot this week, amidst the floaty florals were a handful of silky pieces in the deep green shade: Princess Anne looked particularly chic in a jacquard midi dress with floaty sleeves, while Ida Di Vico coordinated her sculptural hat with her Cefinn dress in the same hue.
According to fashion platform Lyst, it’s one of the most popular colours of the season, with searches up 41%. On the green spectrum, it’s easy to see.
