Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao (born March 3, 1997) is a Cuban-American singer, songwriter, and actress.

She rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, formed on The X Factor (U.S.) in 2012, signing a joint record deal with Syco Music and Epic Records.

While a part of Fifth Harmony, Cabello began to establish herself as a solo artist with the release of the collaborations "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendes, and "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly, the latter reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are finally back in the same city after Cabello returned to L.A. from London, where she was shooting Cinderella.

But the couple opted not to have a date night, at least in person, at the Billboard Music Awards in Los Angeles this evening.

Cabello and Mendes are jointly nominated for Top Hot 100 Song ("Señorita") and Top Collaboration (fan-voted award), but the couple had no pressing reason to be there as they are not presenting or performing.

Given the coronavirus pandemic remains very much ongoing, the Billboard Music Awards, like many other award ceremonies being conducted now, had a much smaller audience than previous years—in this case, no audience.
