The 48-year-old, who has served as an international official since 2006, is now preparing for his first major final, at least at a summer tournament.
Kuipers was, however, the man with the whistle during the Europa League final in 2017/2018 when Atletico Madrid reigned supreme with a routine 3-0 victory over Marseille.
