Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Britain's Got Talent.Ashleigh and Pudsey were the first ever animal winners of Britain's Got Talent - with Simon Cowell finally getting his wish for a dog act champion.

The dynamic duo won the sixth sixth series of the talent competition in 2012, with Pudsey leaving the BGT judges open-mouthed with the incredible displays.The judges were simply stunned by the performance from the pair in the final.Alicia Dixon gushed : "I can’t cope, this moment is too much.

While Amanda Holden gasped and said: "That was unbelievable, forget diamonds, Pudsey is everybody’s best friend, he’s just gorgeous." Their sensational routine to the Mission Impossible theme tune in the final saw them crowned winners over singers Jonathan and Charlotte - with Simon then joking: "My life's work is now complete."Ashleigh, who was studying at sixth form at the time, became famous overnight but admitted her pet pooch was the real star of the pair.Speaking about life after their rise to fame in July 2014, she said: "If I’m on my own, people will look at me and kind of know they recognise me from somewhere, but they’re not sure.

But if I’m with Pudsey, then yes, they recognise us."Fame and fortune followed and Ashleigh became a millionaire.She signed a book deal worth £350,000, which was added to their £500,000 BGT prize and a £150,000 fee to appear in panto that Christmas.The winning duo also had the money-can't-buy honour of performing in front of The Queen at the Royal Variety performance and as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
