Countries have tightened up travel restrictions in an effort to curb the spread of the Omicron variant. All travellers entering the UK now need to take a PCR test after arriving and self-isolate until they have a negative test result.
The red-list has been reintroduced, with only essential travel permitted to the following destinations: Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
As this is a fast-changing situation, holidaymakers will be concerned about whether their flights will be cancelled if a destination is added to the red list, or travel bans are introduced.
