The MEN understands West Ham are the only side to have shown concrete interest in signing Lingard, 28, on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.
The MEN revealed last month Sheffield United were keen to recruit Lingard on loan but there were reservations about the financing of a potential loan package.
Lingard's camp have encouraged links with Tottenham but the MEN reported in September Spurs are not in for Lingard and that stance has not changed.
