West Ham United’s owners are reportedly remaining defiant in their stance to ‘never sell’ the club to the PAI Capital group, who have been accused of being “property developers”.The consortium is funded in part by Azerbaijani millionaire Nasib Piriyev and includes for QPR chief Philip Beard, as well as former England international Rio Ferdinand.They made an informal approach to buy the Hammers in February, but that was rejected by co-owner David Sullivan, who has since branded the offer “derisory”.But it appears that PAI have not been deterred in their hopes of taking control, with the group announcing on Thursday that they have an agreement to buy the London Stadium.That agreement is reliant on Sullivan and co-owner David Gold selling up.
