The Hammers midfielder has been linked as a priority target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side ahead of next summer already, with the defensive midfield position cited as the missing link of the jigsaw.
Rice has been in terrific form recently, scoring a wonderful solo goal during midweek in the Europa League on his 150th appearance for the club.
The England international will have two years remaining on his contract in the summer but West Ham are keen to extend his deal, although it's believed he isn't keen on renewing.
