Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.School staff in West Dunbartonshire have missed over 10,000 days of work due to mental health reasons over the past four years.The figures have been steadily increasing year-on-year, according to new figures released under the Freedom of Information Act.The Scottish Liberal Democrats obtained the statistics, which revealed that the total number of missed days for staff in the whole of Scotland is now nearly at 550,000 since 2017.In West Dunbartonshire, 2,790 days were missed due to mental health issues in 2017/18, which increased to 3,090 in 2018/19.It increased further again in 2019/20 to 3,114 and so far this financial year, 1,031 days have been.
