United have reached an agreement in principle with Lokomotiv Moscow for Ralf Rangnick to become United's new interim manager on a six-month contract, but Sunday's clash with Chelsea will come too early for Rangnick to take control, meaning Michael Carrick will continue to manage the Reds.
