Waterloo Road's Kim Campbell star says it's 'weird' filming BBC show revival

BBC announced in September 2021 that the school-based programme would be returning to screens based back in Manchester with the makers of New Tricks, Wall to Wall producing it alongside a Manchester-based label, Rope Ladder Fiction who had previously worked on the show.Earlier this year, it was announced that Angela Griffin would be returning alongside Katie Griffiths as Chlo Charles and Adam Thomas as Donte Charles.While Angela's character, Kim Campbell, may have been head of pastoral care – she's now stepped up as headteacher.Speaking exclusively about the show at the Pride of Manchester Awards, she told Daily Star: "It's bloody brilliant, she's very different this time."What's happened to Kim in the last six years?

You'll have to wait to find out when it comes back."She's a different person, definitely, things have happened and it all comes out when we come back."Opening up about the changes in the show and working with Katie and Adam again, she said: "It's a little bit weird because he's married with two children."To me, I find that weird because he's still a student, he's 15 but yeah, all good."Reflecting on becoming headteacher, Angela said: "Stepping into Jack's shoes, Rachel's shoes, it's really good, I'm really quite enjoying it – I think I'm a great head."The lovely Kym Marsh who is presenting is on the team."Angela attended the awards ceremony alongside new co-star Vincent Jeremone who plays her deputy head, Lindon King.He said: "You make a great head."Discussing his latest role, Vincent said: "It's an experience, it's great, everybody is wonderful and I'm having a great time."Reminiscing on the previous seasons, he said he had "dipped in and out" of watching the show.Vincent continued: "I watched more of you.
