Nicki Minaj has returned with her first solo track in more than two years, an upbeat and decidedly NSFW new single titled ‘Super Freaky Girl’.‘Super Freaky Girl’ marks Minaj’s first solo release since July of 2019, when she dropped the standalone single ‘Megatron’. She’s kept busy since then, however, releasing four collaborative joints – ‘Do We Have A Problem?’ and ‘Bussin’ with Lil Baby, ‘Blick Blick’ with Coi Leray, and ‘We Go Up’ with Fivio Foreign – this year alone.Over a beat that samples the lead melody of Rick James’ 1981 hit ‘Super Freak’, Nicki raps on the new song’s chorus: “I can lick it, I can ride it, while you slippin’ and slidin’ / I can do all them little tricks, and keep the dick up inside it / You can smack it, you can grip it, you can go down and kiss it / And every time he leave me ’lone, he always tell me he miss it.”Have a look at the lyric video for ‘Super Freaky Girl’ below:It’s been a packed year for Minaj thus far, even aside from her aforementioned single releases.

Drake's dad, Dennis Graham, just etched his love for his son in ink, and the rapper isn't too thrilled with the result.Drake took to Instagram Monday to share a shot of his father's arm, tattooed with a portrait of his son's face. The tat, which appears just below Dennis' shoulder, features a younger Drizzy smirking at the camera.

MTV Video Music Awards will air on August 28th. While no host has been announced, over the past weeks MTV has released the list of nominees and the evening’s performers.

Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne performed their Young Money reunion show in Toronto last night (August 6), performing a litany of their respective hits for approximately 16,000 fans.Announced less than a month ago, the show rounded out a trilogy of shows Drake hosted for his ‘October World Weekend’, a concert series that the rapper said precedes the worldwide expansion of his music festival, OVO Fest. It was initially scheduled to go down on Monday (August 1), but was pushed back five days after Drake tested positive for COVID-19.The show itself started later than scheduled.

Drake has bounced back from his recent tussle with COVID-19, and as promised, has confirmed a new date for his Young Money reunion concert with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.The show was initially booked to go down last Monday (August 1), but was postponed just hours out from kick-off when Drake revealed that he’d tested positive for COVID-19. At the time, the rapper said he would reschedule the show “to the SOONEST date possible”, assuring fans that “the moment I test negative I will give you everything I got on stage (except the covid)”.The show will now go ahead tonight (August 6) at its original venue, the 16,000-capacity Budweiser Stage in Drake’s hometown of Toronto.

DJ Khaled has shared ‘Staying Alive’, a Drake and Lil Baby-assisted single lifted from the producer’s upcoming album.‘Staying Alive’, the chorus of which interpolates the 1977 Bee Gees song of the same name, sees Khaled refresh the old school disco classic with sparse production and sharp hi-hats. Khaled lists the Bee Gees — Robin, Andy and Maurice Gibb — as lyricists on the new track.For their part, Drake and Lil Baby switch flows before delivering an auto-tuned rendition of the titular original on the new song’s hook.

Drake contracting covid can release a sigh of relief. The rapper announced Thursday that he tested negative and will be performing with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne on August 6 at OVO Fest’s Young Money Reunion.Taking to Instagram to share the announcement, Drake wrote, «Negative test…positive outcome…this was the only date available until the fall and because the family is so solid everybody is flying back in to make it happen for you all…SEE YOU SATURDAY…young moulaaa.»A post shared by champagnepapi (@champagnepapi)Earlier this week, Drake announced that his set at the October World Weekend scheduled for tonight has been postponed due to him contracting COVID-19. “I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for Covid and the Young Money Reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the SOONEST date possible,” the Canadian MC wrote on his Instagram Stories.

The man who struck and killed Nicki Minaj's father last February has been sentenced to a year in jail - despite protests from the famed rapper's mother.  Charles Polevich, 72, pleaded guilty to leaving the scene and tampering with evidence. He was also ordered to pay a fine to the tune of $5,000, in addition to having his driver's license suspended for six months.

Nicki Minaj’s father Robert Maraj in a February 2021 hit-and-run incident has been sentenced to one year in prison.Charles Polevich, 71, struck 64-year-old Maraj while he was walking in the village of Mineola on Long Island, New York.Polevich drove off without calling emergency services and also hid his car. Maraj was taken to a Nassau County hospital where he died.Nassau County police were able to track down Polevich’s vehicle using security footage.  Polevich was arrested and charged three days after the incident.“He’s absolutely aware of what happened,” Nassau Police Homicide Detective Lt.

Drake just dropped his new music video for “Sticky”.

Drake has shared an official music video for the latest ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ single, ‘Sticky’, in which he shows support for Young Thug and Gunna as they continue to fight against their recent gang-related charges.The song itself makes a brief mention to the plight of Gunna and Thug (real names Sergio Kitchens and Jeffery Williams, respectively), as Drake raps in the second verse: “Bring them girls to the stage / ‘Cause somebody’s getting paid / Free Big Slime out the cage.” Big Slime is one of Williams’ other nicknames (referencing his titular 2020 joint with Chris Brown), and nods to his label, YSL Records, which is heavily implicated in his legal dramas.During the Theo Skudra-directed video for ‘Sticky’, when Drake raps the line in question, the words “FREE YSL” flash on the screen in bold, animated green text.
