The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued precautionary safety advice to customers who purchased whole honeydew, cantaloupe, and galia melons originating from Costa Rica, Honduras, or Brazil bought on or before May 28.
The agency is recommending that consumers check the stickers on the fruit, and dispose of the melon if the country of origin is listed Costa Rica, Honduras, or Brazil.
If customers are not sure or cannot identify the country of origin, the FSA is also advising that the fruit be thrown away. Get the latest updates from across Greater Manchester direct
