The 'world's first' virtual reality entertainment warehouse has opened in Manchester. The free-roaming, multi-player VR zone occupies a space the size of a tennis court and entails zombie battles, intergalactic firefights in space and competitive player vs player battles.

The concept comes from Zero Latency who are looking to revitalise social gaming by creating 'next-generational' entertainment up and down the country.

Unlike other virtual reality games, where players tend to play solo in a confined area whilst tethered to a computer or cords, Zero Latency players can freely roam, explore and battle together.

As part of the warehouse-scale VR experience, players enter the arena kitted out with headsets, headphones and a gun - for shooter games - and have to navigate their full-motion avatars.
