Then there are those like Aligne, who launched in September; slap bang in the middle of Covid. Founder and managing director Dalbir Bains is triumphant: “I don’t think we were tempted to put the launch on hold, but each week brought new challenges, and each week we overcame them – we were determined to power through.”Like those immortal words in the movie Jerry Maguire, today’s brand “had me at hello”.
Not only do I admire its courage to plough on, but it is the beating heart of it that is “so very Ginnie” (as one PR described it) because it is exactly what I would.
