Viola Davis amused fans as she "shotted" a fake drink on the Oscars red carpet in Los Angeles. Wearing an elegant and sophisticated white Alexander McQueen outfit, the Ma Rainey's Black Bottom actress hilariously took advantage of a "free" bar with her air shot.

Swilling the non-drink around her mouth, the 55-year-old acted out everyone's thoughts when taking a short drink as she winced as it "went down".

Her husband Julius Tennon even joined in on the act and fans on Twitter were loving it. One fan wrote: "She makes it look so real!
