THE Tokyo 2020 Olympics have officially started, with the opening ceremony officially kicking things off last night. The event had some spectacular sights – including 1,800 drones flying in the formation of planet earth.
But perhaps the biggest surprise hit of the night was hearing Susan Boyle’s voice. SuBo’s version of The Doves’ Wings to Fly was belted out to the billions watching, and listening, across the globe.
The 60-year-old Scottish singer played a significant role in the ceremony, much to the shock of those tuned in. Thousands of paper doves descended from the sky as the ballad was being played in the background.
