Victoria Ekanoye teases Coronation Street return for her character Angie in huge twist

Coronation Street actress Victoria Ekanoye, who played Angie Appleton in the soap, teased that she could make a return to the ITV show.Victoria, 40, made her debut on the hit soap in August 2017, but her time came to an end in January 2019.A few years on and speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Victoria has teased that she hasn’t ruled out a return to the show in the future.She said: “Well it might be, you can never say never – she’s off in South Africa at the moment, isn’t she, so we’ll see!”Her exit on the Cobbles came after Victoria’s character Angie had split from her on-screen husband Jude (Paddy Wallace).The pair’s marriage had broken down over the course of her time on the soap and they reached breaking point for good by the end of 2018.In heartbreaking scenes that aired in January 2019, Angie left for South Africa to start a new life.Speaking at the time of her Corrie exit, Victoria said she had the “best time of her life” while on the show.She shared: “I’ve honestly had the time of my life and I can’t believe it’s been 18 months.
