dailystar.co.ukA veteran was tied to his bed and attacked by his male lover who was afraid their secret relationship would be revealed. Dylan Upton, 21, had a long-term girlfriend but was also having sex and taking drugs with an unnamed older Army veteran he had met on Grindr.
The two were together for six months until one evening in 2019 when Upton flew into a violent rage. Manchester Crown Court heard he became angry after discovering photos of the two together on the man's phone, and was concerned about others finding out about the relationship.
After tying the man's wrists and ankle to his bed so that he was lying face down, Upton began punching him in the head and strangling him.
