A community group have hit out at vandals destroying an Ayrshire church building.Kilmarnock South Parish Church on Whatriggs Road is a popular venue, and outreach group The Well organise a number of events out of the building. But persistent damage from vandals is leaving those involved disappointed.Pictures show damaged glass and doors, and it's not the first time it's happened with the group sharing pictures of smashed windows previously.A spokesperson for The Well said: "This is the damage to our building over the last few weeks."I urge all neighbours and others who are disturbed by constant noise, vandalism and disrespect to pick up the phone and call the police.

I have been in touch with them and this is their advice."This behaviour is costing us money every month and is just unacceptable.

We are aware of the roof antics too and have the culprits on CCTV as they are clearly too stupid to read the signs."I don't have an issue with them hanging around but the constant destruction is uncalled for and unfair.

We are slowly trying to get the place up and running to serve the community but this is just soul destroying."If you have young people who are out at night please warn them they are on camera and the footage has been passed on to the police."Sergeant Lorraine Fraser of Kilmarnock Police Station said: "Officers were called to reports of vandalism at a premises on Whatriggs Road, Kilmarnock at around 6pm on Monday, April 25.“Officers spoke with those involved and there was no criminality established.“Officers take reports of vandalism seriously and anyone with concerns should contact police on 101.”The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus features, football news and
