Under 30s 'may be stopped from getting Covid vaccine' over fears of rare blood clot

Covid vaccine for younger adults amid fears of a rare type of blood clot. The vaccine will be put through a "thorough and detailed review" by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency to determine its suitability for young adults.

Concerns rose after data emerged suggesting the vaccine could be linked to a rare risk of blood clot with the Astra Zeneca vaccine, Channel 4 reported.Former SAGE member, Neil Ferguson, said the risk may also be associated at a "lower level with other vaccines too," adding that the risk appears to be age-related.A decision on whether to halt the rollout for certain ages could be made as early as April 6, but the MHRA said "no decision has yet been made" as of Monday night.
