Ulrika Jonsson has shared that she'll be spending Christmas alone this year.The 57 year old Swedish-British TV legend confessed that 2024 has been "a year of massive change" for her.

She bravely opened up about her struggles with alcohol, revealing that there were times when she would drink until she blacked out.

Ulrika admitted that she used to turn to alcohol to cope with anxiety, and it became a concern for her friends when she was unable to engage in conversations with them.The TV star has since given up alcohol and has been sober for over six months.

In a heartbreaking admission, Ulrika confessed that she wasn't sure if she would even make it to Christmas. She "discovered that alcohol was not the solution" and that she needed to make changes in her life if she wanted to continue. "So, it felt apt that I should spend Christmas Day on my own," she told The Sun. "Not to wallow in some kind of perverse, self-indulgent pity-party but just because it will be nice to have a break from ­people-ing and life-ing," reports the Mirror.
