Ulrika Jonsson has confessed she was bamboozled by her own TV reports. The blonde star of E4's Celebs Go Dating was a presenter on the TV-am breakfast show from 1989 to 1992 before hosting family fave show Gladiators. But Ulrika, 54, says she had a drought of knowledge when it came to meteorological jargon. On Tuesday night's episode, the dating show’s receptionist Tom Read Wilson asked her: "So, how much do you have to know about meteorology?"Ulrika replied: "The weather presenters you have on the BBC and ITV are trained meteorologists but I was a weather girl so I didn’t really understand what I was saying!”Narrator comedian Rob Beckett then joked: "What's next?

The gladiators weren't real gladiators!”Unlucky-in-love Swedish-born Ulrika joined the show to meet someone who sees her as a "normal person".She signed up three years after divorcing her third husband, Brian Monetin. She said: "At some point it would be nice to have someone in my life. "But when dating, it's a weird thing when they know more about you than you know about yourself and they're telling you about yourself. "There is an imbalance there and you basically want to find somebody who’s not fazed by who you are, who just treats you like a normal person."Ulrika also admitted she is a big fan of dating apps.

She added: "I don’t go out, so unless you're putting yourself out there then it's hard to meet people. I don't go into an office five days a week."I don't come into contact with different people.

So it is definitely a numbers game."You've got to learn how to sort the wheat from the chaff."Celebs Go Dating airs Monday to Thursday on E4.For more of the latest showbiz news from Daily Star, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters here..
