Ukraine to host PDC darts tournament with World Championship place up for grabs

Darts history will be made at the next PDC World Championship when a Ukrainian player graces the famous Alexandra Palace stage for the first time ever.In announcing its list of international qualifying tournaments for the 2023 Worlds, the PDC confirmed a Ukrainian tournament will be held on October 15/16.

A qualifying spot is usually made available for the winner of the EuroAsian Darts Corporation Pro Tour, which features players from Russia and Belarus.

But following Vladimir Putin’s brutal invasion of Ukraine earlier this year that event was scrapped, with Russian and Belarusian players banned from competing.
