Temperatures are set to plunge to 1C this weekend as the first snow has hit parts of the UK this week. The particularly cold weather is expected to hit the country overnight, but during the day temperatures are set to be above 10C.
Forecasters believe Scotland will experience particularly chilly nights this weekend. BBC Weather forecaster Simon King predicted more wintry weather after the snow settled in the hills of Scotland last night.
