Brits are warned to make the most of the sun today with a cold front sweeping across the country over the next 24 hours sending the mercury plummeting.
Overnight temperatures could drop to as low as 7C in parts of the UK in a major downward swing which will see frost by Thursday morning.
That's just a day after nighttime humidity meant readings remained in the teens, with highs of 17C. On Wednesday the south will again enjoy a bumper day for sun with 24C forecast but the heat will prove nothing more than a buffer for a huge cold snap gnawing it's way into the picture.
Rain will, meanwhile, be a persistent fixture in much of the country today despite the sun - with even the southeast vulnerable to the odd outbreak.
