Brits are being warned to brace for five days of snow and ice across northern areas while heavy rain could batter the south.
And now forecasters have warned that the freezing cold conditions would likely continue into mid-February. Nearly 20 inches of snow could accumulate in parts of Scotland with an amber weather warning in place for the white stuff from tomorrow.
Today, there are three yellow weather warnings for snow in place covering most of Scotland and northern England, meaning drivers risk becoming stranded and power cuts are possible.
