weather battering Britain over the last few days is set to continue this weekend, with some gales and heavy showers expected.Forecasters at the Met Office predict winds to be especially strong in the north and west on Saturday, reaching up to 40 miles per hour.However, temperatures will turn a little milder across the country after a chilly end to the week, with 14C expected in London and the southeast, and 13C in the north of Scotland.The Met office outlook for today reads:"Early cloud over western Scotland and Northern Ireland thickening to give spells of rain, heavy at times over hills.
