James suffered the cruel fate of "nul points" after failing to impress either the international judging panel or the viewers in the two main votes on Saturday night with his song Embers.
But he says he will "focus on the positives" of being part of the contest - which was won by Italy's Maneskin with their glam rock performance of Zitti e buoni.
