The UK Defence Secretary has been accused of attempting to “politicise” the deployment of the British Army in an attempt to save the Union.SNP MPs have attacked Ben Wallace for a reorganisation of the armed forces in way in which the Defence Secretary claimed will lead to “an Army that benefits the whole of our Union”.
The move came as Wallace, a former Tory MSP, outlined the Future Soldier reforms to the armed forces which means more units will be placed in Scotland and The First Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland will form part of a new Ranger Regiment.
