Never had a night of dancing ‘til dawn felt quite so divisive. As the so-called “ Freedom Day ” chimed at 00.01 on Monday, July 19, nightclubs reopened their doors in Manchester to hundreds and hundreds of people queuing down the city’s streets desperate to get inside for a boogie.
