TV icons including Game Of Thrones actor to feature in immersive Doctor Who exhibition

Doctor Who exhibition, which makes its world premiere on Friday (May 27, 2022).Doctor Who: Worlds Of Wonder opens at World Museum Liverpool this week, and explores the real life science behind the popular BBC sci-fi series - as well as featuring props and costumes, along with immersive, hands on experiences.It will also see My Family star Zoe Wannamaker reprise her famous role from the series - Lady Cassandra - as part of the exhibition.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Fiona Phillpott, Director of Exhibitions at National Museums Liverpool, spoke about Zoe's contribution to the experience - and a starring virtual role from Game Of Thrones and League Of Gentleman icon Mark Gatiss.Fiona said: "She [Zoe Wannamaker] is lending her voice to an exhibit about her iconic character, which is the Lady Cassandra O' Brien - the 'last pure human'. "There's also Mark Gatiss, who is the Game Of Thrones star and he is guiding visitors through space and time - so he is the narrator for that part of the exhibition."She added: "Over the decades, the show's writers have drawn on real science to inspire their stories."Things like astronomy and quantum physics.

We're exploring a lot of these themes in the exhibition itself.""There's lot of props and things you would expect to see in any doctor who show.

There's experts talking about behind the scenes and the story writing that goes on. "I think there's something for everyone there really."Over eight parts in the exhibition, Fiona says visitors will 'walk through a time vortex, where you'll leave the real world behind you', before moving through the famous Tardis doors.
