‘There were times when my hands would be physically shaking reading comments on my phone,’ The Young Offenders actress Jennifer Barry admits. ‘Sometimes I dread going online because I don’t know what I’m going to find, especially after a new episode of the show airs.’ The Cork native is speaking to EVOKE about her personal experience of social media and the daily struggles she faces on the myriad of apps at her fingertips.
For Jennifer, social media is an important space where she can share her experience with anxiety and depression, the platform allowing her to reach out to other young women who may be struggling in silence.
