Actor Paul Ritter, who starred in the hit series Chernobyl, has sadly died at the age of 54. The actor had been diagnosed with a brain tumour and his agent confirmed his passing in a statement.
They said that Paul passed away peacefully and was surrounded by his family, wife Polly and sons Frank and Noah. ‘Paul was an exceptionally talented actor playing an enormous variety of roles on stage and screen with extraordinary skill,’ the statement continues. ‘He was fiercely intelligent, kind and very funny.
We will miss him greatly.’ Paul played Anatoly Dyatlov in the his HBO/Sky Atlantic drama Chernobyl and was hailed for his portrayal of the nuclear plant deputy chief-engineer.
