mirror.co.ukTravis Barker has described being the sole survivor of a plane crash as being the therapy he needed to kick his drugs addictions.
The 45-year-old Blink-182 star is lucky to be alive after a private jet he was travelling in crashed upon takeoff at an airport in Columbia, South Carolina in September 2008.
Fellow passengers and close friends Chris Baker and Charles “Che” Still died in the accident along with and the two pilots, while fellow survivor Adam Goldstein, also known as DJ AM, died of a drugs overdose a year later, aged 36.
In the years before the accident, Travis abused prescription drugs and smoked marijuana – but says surviving the crash and seeing his friends die made him realise it was time to stop abusing narcotics.
