A 'traumatised' family has been 'stranded' for 10 days and 'can't get through' to easyJet amid the current flight chaos. Kelly Hagerty has been on holiday in Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria with 12 friends and family members for 10 days.
The holidaymakers from Aberbargoed, Wales, were due to fly back home, to Bristol Airport on Monday. But when they got to the airport the group, including five young children and a toddler, were told their flight was cancelled.
Kelly claims the next available flight is not until September 9, Wales Online reports.It comes as many holidaymakers are facing flight delays and cancellations, which started on bank holiday Monday, August 28, after an UK air traffic control failure meant flight plans had to be input manually by controllers.
By afternoon, 232 flights departing UK airports had been cancelled and 271 arriving flights, according to aviation analytics firm, Cirium.
