A crash involving multiple vehicles on the M8 near Whitburn has sparked a huge emergency response.The incident, which occurred at around 9.50am this morning, has led to the M8 westbound at Junction 4 being closed entirely.One of the vehicles involved is thought to be a lorry.It is believed there are injuries as a result of the crash with a number of ambulances and multiple trauma teams in attendance.Drivers are being asked to take alternative routes.Traffic Scotland tweeted that vehicles on the route will be taken off at Junction 4 and rejoin at Junction 5.The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they have four pumps and a heavy rescue unit at the scene.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50am on Sunday, October 17, police
