Judge Lord Beckett told the High Court in Edinburgh he found it “troubling” that concerns for Robyn’s welfare were raised a year before the school girl died in excruciating pain from an untreated stomach ulcer.
North Lanarkshire Council, who were responsible for Robyn’s social care, yesterday confirmed it is now to examine the findings of an external independent review ordered by its Child Protection Committee in a bid to prevent further harm to other vulnerable youngsters like Robyn.
