The vet confirms that Eccles has an inoperable tumour and the kindest thing to do is put her to sleep. In devastating scenes Eccles' owner Ken Barlow with his daughter Tracy, her husband Steve and their daughter Amy arrive at the vets and they're devastated to discover that Eccles has died.
