Grandfather Mick, 57, was found dead at his home in Essex on January 21 this year. Today's inquest, held virtually by Essex Coroner's Court, was told Mick was found in the basement of his home with police and paramedics attending the scene - reports Mirror Online.

Following a post-mortem on 26 January at Basildon hospital, Mick's cause of death was found to be suspension by ligature. The inquest was adjourned to the 22nd July.

Essex police had been called to Mick's address in Bulphan at 3. 15pm on January 21. A spokesperson confirmed at the time that they were not treating the death as suspicious.
