A Conservative MSP will lead a debate in the Scottish Parliament next month, following the announcement that the EK rail line will remain single track.The debate is expected to take place on Wednesday, December 8, and has cross party support with Central Scotland MSP, Graham Simpson, joining Labour and Green counterparts in writing to Transport Minister, Graeme Dey, calling for a reversal of the latest decision.The Scottish Government had promised last July that the line between East Kilbride and Busby would be dualled and electrified in their ‘Decarbonisation Action Plan’.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
