The One Show to discuss his new biopic film Elvis, but later gave away some fun facts about the Queen ahead of her Platinum Jubilee.Tom, who was dressed smartly in a black suit, brought his co-star Austin Butler with him, who was wearing a white t-shirt and suit jacket.Austin plays the iconic musician in the Hollywood blockbuster alongside Tom Hanks.The pair walked onto the BBC set and sat down on the green sofa as Emma and Jermaine welcomed them to the show.Ahead of the Queen's Jubilee, the hosts opened the show by asking Hanks about the time he met the monarch.As he began his story, a picture of the actor wearing a suit flashed on the screen, showing him stood next to the Queen and Barack Obama as they all raised a glass.Tom commented on his outfit, which was a white shirt with a black suit jacket, and said he was dressed up "very nicely" for his "chit chat with The Queen".He told Willis and Jenas that he had "prepared" to meet her by thinking of questions to ask which were "of import, but not presumptuous," so asked her "how often she truly has time off and what have you".However, the Forrest Gump star was quickly sidetracked: "Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a white gloved hand put, between me and her royal majesty, a glass of water.
That's all it was."He continued: "It wasn't in a water glass, it was a clear liquid, so I dared to ask: 'What is your majesty's cocktail of choice?' She said: 'Ooh!
Martini!'" Emma, Jermaine and Austin all giggled at his story and Tom sat back in glee as they did so.Fans were overjoyed at the revelation and took to Twitter to comment on the Queen's favourite beverage.One wrote: "It's mine too!"Another said that they "loved a martini" and were clearly happy to have a connection with.
