ok.co.ukTom Daley burst into tears as he finally won his first Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Games.The 27-year-old, alongside Matty Lee, 23, took home the win for 10m synchonised diving in the early hours of Monday morning.This is Daley’s fourth time participating in the international event, and his first gold medal.
As he took to the podium, Daley was seen weeping as he received his award, and later on admitted that he “was gone” thanks to the monumental moment. “To finally have this gold medal around my neck after so many…” he began, before stumbling on his words.
