Toby Alderweireld has labelled Jose Mourinho's arrival at Tottenham "very strange", adding Mauricio Pochettino's sacking was "bad news".
Pochettino was Spurs boss for five years, and guided the club to a first Champions League final in 2019. But the Argentine was sacked just months later after the north London side suffered a dip in form in all competitions this season.
Former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Mourinho was handed the reins, and the club began a new era under the Portuguese.
Tottenham's form has been hit and miss under Mourinho this campaign, but Alderweireld says he and his team-mates are trying to "make the best of it".
