Timo Werner is set to be offered to Juventus as part of Chelsea's deal to sign Matthijs de Ligt this summer.The Blues have had their defence ransacked after the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.

There are further exits mooted with Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso keen to move to the Nou Camp as well. It would leave Thomas Tuchel with major problems in defence with just Trevoh Chalobah, Malang Sarr and Thiago Silva as his only centre-backs.

Several players have been linked with moves to Stamford Bridge to help plug the gaps, including Jules Kounde and Josko Gvardiol. So far, negotiations have proved fruitless and the Blues have taken an interest as a result.According to Di Marzio, Werner could be included in an opening offer that would also total £38million in cash for the Dutchman.
