Golf legend Tiger Woods left fans and TV commentators in hysterics simply by digging into a supersize sandwich while competing at the PGA Championship.
Woods is making just his second PGA Tour appearance since suffering severe injuries in a car accident in February 2021.Woods himself was unsure as to whether he would compete at Southern Hills this week, after reiterating he would now only be competing on the tour part-time due to the effects of his injuries.
Fortunately though, the 82-time PGA Tour winner is out there hunting down a 16th major title.In the midst of competing in one of golf’s flagship events, the four-time PGA champion still had time to grab a bite to eat, after he was seen chomping into a huge sandwich in between holes on the Tulsa course.Woods was playing alongside fellow stars Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth in rounds one and two, and while the trio were in conversation mid-round, the American devoured the supersize snack.
While Woods chomped on the sandwich, the ESPN commentary team and fans at home saw the funny side of the American’s mid-round fill up.In the commentary box Scott van Pelt said: “Stop at the sub shop?
