On Wednesday, the 15-time Major winner was “awake” and “recovering” following lengthy emergency surgery, while Los Angeles police confirmed the crash was an accident and said he would not face any charges.
Rescue teams had to pry the 45-year-old from the wreckage after his car swerved into an oncoming lane then struck a curb and a tree as it careened off the road and down an embankment, authorities said.
