Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creative genius behind the musical Hamilton, has stepped behind the camera for his movie directorial debut about the life of the acclaimed composer Jonathan Larson.
The Netflix musical film, which was released briefly in cinemas in the UK ahead of its streaming release on November 19, 2021, is now available via the platform.
So far, the film has seen generally positive reviews, with an IMDB rating of 7.8/10. Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian gave it four stars, describing the film as "an unashamed sugar rush of showbiz rapture and showbiz solemnity in this heartfelt tribute to Broadway talent Jonathan Larson, played here by Andrew Garfield."
